Right up front: I love this pictures (taken with my 14mm manual lens) and thought about sharing it just on its own as a “BloomScrolling” Note.
But then I started thinking about all the cool and interesting pictures I captured of the creatures within this field. Also, this is starting to have me rethink my wish to find my macro lens. I wouldn’t have gotten most of these shots if the Tamron 90mm macro had been attached to my camera at the time. But the 600mm end of the big Sigma was perfectly up to the task.
I didn’t realize Grasshoppers came in so many different colors.
The Pollinators
Beetles and Ants
Of course, I wasn’t the only one who was happy to find a field full of insects.
Til Next time,
… but only if you want to 😎

Great pictures….
Great set, as usual, Todd. I voted "just the pictures" as they're what captures my imagination. Having the details, in my case, doesn't add to that. But that's just me....
