I really enjoyed this, Todd. I’m glad you showed the helipad; I would have been angry at the teaser! šŸ™ƒ

I'm glad we eventually made it back to the helipad, otherwise Kelly might still be mad that we turned around. šŸ˜‚

Our partners are very different in that respect; mine often has to be talked into going for a longer walks.

I’m dying to get down there for some hiking. My one time in Sierra Vista almost ended with death too, but it was entirely due to my own idiocy. I may have to write about it sometime.

Come on down Dave. As Kelly pointed out in her comment, we are both much safer these days. But the Huachuca Mountains are freaking wonderful!

… and yes, we probably need to hear your story too.

Morris often remembers stories from one trail and attaches it to another trail or date or moment in time, Lol. Also I am a very safe hiker who always has plenty of water, but may also be prone to a side trail adventure or ten. Either way the heart attack trail when Todd told me "If I don't make it, tell my girls I love them." bc he thought he was dying ( no, not dramatic at all) was Pomona Mine trail on a totally different day when we did in fact turn around because we ran out of time. McClure first attempt I was in fact being pretty unreasonable, we had lost the trail and we following a steep wash up the mountain. I was so determined it was only another 50 feet or so, I struggled to stop myself. Todd talked me off the cliff that day. I have 11 years of experience now that confirms he was right to do so. However, the fact remains that even on the animal trail (we have no mountain goats in Sierra Vista), no one died. Hiking, even strenuous hiking, promotes health. I stand by that. 🤣
