Fantastic read Todd. I love southern AZ and tried to convince Cyndi to get a place in Sonoita/Patagonia a few years ago. I've only been to Sierra Vista a couple times and had no idea how amazing it is. I've got to get south more often.
I'm glad you enjoyed reading it. Dave. And yes, you probably would have a good time over this way. The biggest advantage we have on our hikes is solitude. During the hike last weekend that this post was about, we saw as many dogs as people, four of each. Then today, I walked 5 or 6 miles and saw precisely zero other people.

I genuinely love coming over here because your photos always do something lovely to my eyeballs 😂 seeing the world through your walks settles me every time.
But Fort Huachuca made me laugh because the ONLY reason that name exists anywhere in my brain is through following Candace Owens this year, which has given it a rather, well, specific association 😑😂 So it’s actually quite nice to discover there are apparently mountains and sunsets and normal human beings wandering around out there too. Thank you for providing some much needed balance to whatever the fuck my internet has been teaching me. 😂

Yes, there are plenty of normal human being wandering around here … fortunately, we rarely see many of them when we are out on our nature walks … which is a good thing, since I’m pretty sure I like animals much better anyway.
